Back To Mine's Album of the Month January 2022: Bonobo - Fragments

This month we have selected Bonobo's seventh studio album, Fragments, as our album of the month.

Four years on from his last outing, Simon Green (Bonobo) continues to impress and shows no signs of slowing down with this really impressive new LP. The LP features some incredible collaborations, for fans it's great to hear how diverse he has been with these selections - including the new soul poster boy Jordan Rakei (A Back to Mine favourite), the eclectic sounds of British producer O'Flynn and Japan’s Joji.

It’s a broad range of electronic soundscapes, soulful harmonies, emotive flourishes and sumptuous melodies but also showcases Green’s club routes with more 4/4 leaning sounds which are ever present on ‘Rosewood’.
